Songwriters Sandy Martin & Bernadette Kramer have a new, fresh approach to bringing God's message to people of all
ages. Their intention in writing the music for My Friend
God was to find an upbeat way to communicate Christian values to today's
children and families. As confirmation of their success in this goal, My Friend
God was awarded The Dove Foundation's Family Seal of Approval.
This recognition certifies that the album contains music
that family members can enjoy together with confidence. The album has great stylistic variety covering everything
from contemporary to pop, rock to lullaby, and swing to calypso. There's music
for everyone in the family; children can't stop singing the songs and parents can't stop
themselves from joining in!
Music
from this album, along with other Martin & Kramer music, can be heard in several different venues.
You
can read excerpts from some of the letters that Martin
& Kramer have received about their music by
going to the "What people say" page.
To complement the My Friend God album, tinyseed music has
assembled a set of lead sheets (basic sheet
music) which contain the melody, lyrics and chords for each song on the album. A
teacher's or parent's aid has also been developed in the form of an educational portfolio, or folio.
My
Friend God was produced by Gary Fry
whose credentials include other music albums, film scores, radio and television
commercials, and promotional materials. He is a highly respected, widely recognized talent
in the music industry who was very enthusiastic about working with this new songwriting
team.
There's international awareness of the album as well. Based on
the list of individuals, churches, and schools who have obtained My Friend God directly from tinyseed music, the album can currently be found on
multiple continents (North & Central America, Europe, and Africa) and in the
Caribbean.
These sales have primarily been accomplished via
word-of-mouth, one album at a time. This truly indicates that there's a real enthusiasm and desire for this type of music!
